Why is E wrong?

I thought e is correct based on line 39-47.

Hi @Mnv,

Thanks for the question! So we’re asked for what’s most strongly supported by the passage; in other words, this is basically a must be true question. So let’s take a look at (E), that prion diseases generally progress more aggressively than diseases caused by other known pathogens. You found evidence for this in lines 39-47, which talk about how the body doesn’t produce an immune response when prions are present. But this isn’t enough to tell us that prions generally progress more aggressively than diseases caused by other known pathogens; maybe there’s another pathogen that also avoids the body’s producing an immune response. Indeed, we’re actually told between lines 45-47 that there’s “wide variations in…how aggressively the disease progresses,” which makes it hard to say that “generally” prion diseases progress more aggressively. And nowhere do we compare it to other pathogens. So we (E) definitely isn’t most supported and is incorrect.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.
