The issue with these questions

I feel like in the explanation video the conclusion/main point was clearly defined in the answers provided, however, in these "practice" questions there is no clear restatement of the conclusion/main point making it incredibly difficult to apply the information provided in the video. Is that intentional, and if so what is the point of watching a video that actually provides no practical application to how to answer these types of questions?

@shannonk68, that's likely because the questions in the videos are on the easier side of main point/conclusion questions. For main point/conclusion questions that are more difficult, the test writers often phrase the answer choice in ways that are a bit more confusing.

These practice questions are all from real LSATs.

Looking at this question, there aren't any keywords that indicate
there's a conclusion. As a result, we need to look at the argument's
structure. What we're looking for is a claim that isn't being used to
support anything else, but has support from the other sentences in the
argument. The claim in this particular argument that isn't supporting
anything else is the last sentence of the stimulus, where the author
makes the point that the survey data do not establish that financial
problems are the major problem in contemporary marriages, which goes
against what Raghnall says. The last sentence of the stimulus has
support from the sentence right before it.

(C) says, "The conclusion drawn in Raghnall's article is inadequately
justified."

(C) looks great. Raghnall thinks that money is a major problem in most
divorces, but the author doesn't agree since people usually express
other types of frustrations in financial terms. This provides a nice
summary of the last sentence of the stimulus, so it's the main point.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Thank you for following up. My only critique would be that it would be more helpful in the explanation video to use real LSAT level questions to illustrate how to dissect the statement based on the question stem rather than using easier, more define examples that aren't indicative of what we will face on the actual test.

I agree why are you'll not using real lsat questions to teach us. It's why I purchase this program over others and there's no video explanation for any of the mp questions !

I narrowed down the answers between answer C, and answer E. I chose answer choice E because in the beginning of the narrative, it clearly states that Raghnalls article relied on another survey, like many others.

I will need to practice more; despite answering the problem incorrectly at least I was able to narrow it down between two answers .

I agree. It would be extremely helpful if the same level of breakdown in the Main Point Lesson was applied to the actual Main Point Questions. It is difficult to find the conclusion on my own. It would be extremely helpful to check my answer and reasoning against what is correct.
