Answer Choice B v E
After reviewing this question I can see that answer choice E is correct but can't see why answer choice B is incorrect. If someone could elaborate on the answers I would appreciate it.

E is correct because the conclusion in the passage was that a shift in focus has had two effects. For one, there has been more focus on women. Secondly, there has been an interest in viewing folklore in context. This gets us to E.
Textually, the main point is at the end of the first paragraph in lines 7 through 11.
