What makes B wrong?

I was torn between B and D. I chose B because the lawyers spin information to their advantage so jurors perceive it in a certain way and that seems to be reflected more in answer choice B to me

Hi @iris.diaz823,

Thanks for the question! So let’s take a look at what this question is asking us for. We’re looking for something that the author mentions as a factor that can sometimes probably contribute to the success of stealing thunder. We have to find something, then, that is explicitly mentioned in the passage.

So (B) tells us that one of the factors is that some lawyers have superior skill in assessing jurors’ probable reactions to a message. So where does the passage talk about this, the lawyer’s skill? Sure, lawyers spin information to their advantage, but does the passage ever explicitly say anything about some lawyers’ superior skill in assessing jurors’ probable reactions to a message contributing to this success? No, it doesn’t, and that’s what makes (B) wrong. (D), on the other hand, can be found directly mentioned between lines 50-52, and so (D) is the correct answer.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.
