Hi @BenjaminBA,Thanks for the question! So what’s going on here. We’re basically being told by this veterinarian that there’s this disease that’s bad for horses. Some horse breeders say that since it’s bad, you shouldn’t breed horses with the disease. But they’re wrong. Why? Because you can control the disease and the disease makes really beautiful horses.
So now we’re asked for the point of the veterinarian’s response to the horse breeders. In other words, this is a main point question. What is the overall point of this message? What is the veterinarian trying to say? We want to look at what these arguments build up to, and if you think about it, everything ends up supporting the idea that “they are wrong,” they being the horse breeders who think that horses with the defect shouldn’t be bred. Looking around for something that paraphrases that, we get to answer choice (B), which tells us that there shouldn’t be an absolute ban on breeding racehorses that have the genetic defect.
(E), on the other hand, is too broad, it actually does the opposite of going too much into detail. It tells us that there shouldn’t be a prohibition against breeding racehorses that have ANY disease that can be controlled by diet and exercise. But is this the point? The veterinarian is talking about this one specific disease, not diseases that can be controlled by diet and exercise in general. Because it increases the scope of the argument, (E) is incorrect.
Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Hello: the correct answer references an 'absolute' ban, however those words nor topic is explicitly stated or mentioned in the text. Please explain, thank you.AJamesIII March 22, 2021
The "any disease" I think really explained why E is incorrect. Thank you for a great explanation! If it would have specifically stated "having THE disease", would that made it true?Thank you.

My personal belief is that E is too strong of an answer choice. Is used the words "all" when referring to diseases. Too strong of an answer for a weaker conclusion.
