No answer after two months of posting. Very disappointing!

I understand that it is important to keep practicing, however, it is disappointing that the introductory lectures are providing simple examples of identifying premises, principles, and conclusions. The questions designed to help students practicing are more extensive than the lecture material Mehran posts. It is difficult to remain focused on getting the answer correct when the structure questions are different than the lecture practice questions. I wish that the tutors and chats would respond when I actually need help. I purchased the most expensive package to wait more than 3 days to get a response from a tutor. I still have no response.

Yikes, this is very concerning.

It is true that the practice questions are harder than the questions demonstrated in the video. I'm starting to feel bad about myself.

Can this answered^

Hi,

This is referencing a common pattern. A lot of the time in an argument, the first sentence will be a general statement or opinion, and the second sentence or clause will be a statement that says the first sentence is wrong. In this case, the second statement (that the first one is wrong) is the conclusion of the argument. For example let's look at this argument: Some people think the sky is red, but these people are wrong, because of...

In this case the conclusion is that the people who think the sky is red are wrong.

how does this point tie into conclusion? However, most major manufacturers manipulate and even create consumer demand, as anyone who watches television know

Why are there not any explanation videos for Argument Structure?

Emil-Kunkin April 9, 2023

Hi, the claim that manufacturers manipulate demand as anyone who watches tv knows plays into the argument by contradicting a different claim, that manufacturers only respond to demand, and it is a fact that the author uses to support their conclusion.
