I think we have a pretty strong indication in the first paragraph that we're talking about PI cases where it introduces the topic of illustrations in personal injury cases. We have further confirmation of this in the next paragraph. If the author says "I am talking about X in context Y" and continues to talk about X, they don't need to reiterate they are talking about context Y.
