Thanks for the question! So let’s take a look at what this stimulus is saying. Basically, it’s telling us that the government doesn’t have a right to tax earnings from labor, because long story short, it’s basically involuntary servitude. So what’s the error of reasoning? Well, it’s basically drawing an analogy between two different things that aren’t really good analogies for each other. And that’s what (A) says: it ignores a difference in how the idea of forced work for another’s purpose applies to the two cases. And so since it ignores a difference, what is that difference? Well, in one, for example, you ultimately have representation via congress, whereas in involuntary servitude you don’t. So that’s why (A) is the correct answer here.

As for (E), it doesn’t really do that, does it? That would be like if the definition said “a bachelor is defined as an unmarried man,” and the author wrote something like “actually, that’s just your opinion.” Or something along those lines.
