the last sentence

the last sentence states " In most parts of a certain country, it is either easy to grow cacti or easy to raise orange trees.' the video was very unclear on how to diagram this sentence, is it to be dealt with as a quantifier or a S&N statement? if a S&N, then would we diagram it based on the "either/or" where we pick the necessary condition and negate the sufficient or not? thank you.

Hi @May-Salah,

Thanks for the question! I think diagramming something like this would be beyond what the LSAT would make you do. That being said, I’d probably diagram this as a most statement.

Parts of country —most—> Easy to grow cacti v Easy to raise orange trees

which is a pretty straightforward representation of the sentence. There are likely other valid diagrams as well.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

I got confused with compound statements bc of the "or" so how do I know exactly when to use compound?

You use the compounds when you see "and" or "or" statements, especially if you see something like "X and Y," and then later X is split off from Y.
