Issue with option d
I thought that option D could be correct because of the first half of the answer "It is morally wrong to make a true statement in a manner that will deceive hearers"- isint this enough to help the argument. I also chose to ignore the second half of the answer choice "or readers of the statement into believing that it is false." because the first half of the answer could help the answer choice and it is separated by "OR" so I thought either would apply
I guess my main question is that, must the entire principle apply to the correct answer choice? or can't a part of it apply, especially when it is separated by the use of "OR"

Thanks for the question! Well, the problem with (D) is just that it doesn’t seem to apply to this scenario. (D) says that it’s morally wrong to make a true statement in a manner that’ll deceive hearers or readers of the statement into believing that it’s false. Like saying a true statement and then winking or nudging someone or something like that. But we’re not told that the advertisers are attempting to make the true information itself appear false.
Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.
