Explanation
Hello,
I am confused. The questions stated that "To become an expert on a musical instrument, a person must practice. If people practice a musical instrument for three hours each day, they will eventually become experts on that instrument."
How do I know that the first sentence is the premise and not the second sentence? I thought that because the second sentence had the word "if," that signaled that this was the premise and a sufficient and necessary condition.

Thanks for the question! So “if” signals conditionals, but those can be the conclusion or the premise, so don’t use that as an indicator. The word you should’ve looked at was “therefore.” “Therefore” indicates conclusions of some kind, and so here, that’s how you know that the statement beginning with “therefore” is the conclusion.
Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.
