Confused

The explanation for answer choice being incorrect is, the principle doesn't discuss evidence. How can this be so when the first sentence says the professor doesn't have compelling evidence. This isn't a belief as the answer choice says, rather it explicitly discusses the evidence the professor does not have not his personal beliefs. Please explain.

Ok I see, I misunderstood, the explanation was speaking on the principle in the stimulus as the principle never discusses evidence rather the professor belief.
