Differences in word choice between stimulus and correct answer choice
I was able to find the correct answer, but I almost discounted it because it seemed to have stronger language than the stimulus; the answer choice seemed to say that public perception definitely does not reflect actual risk, whereas the stimulus said public perceptions of risk "tend to" be inflated.
The main reason I identified the correct answer was by comparing it to my alternatives, but am I reading too much into the strength of language used?

Thanks for the question! In general, it’s good to be attentive to that kind of thing! Then you want to consider whether it actually makes a difference, and whether the answer you’re considering is still the best one. Here, it looks like you did that and got to the right answer, so congrats! I’d say that’s a solid approach.
Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.
