Hey guys, I got you!

So what the beginning of this passage does is equate pit bulls to seeing eye dogs and police dogs. It is a job classification, no different than teacher or waiter except for animals. Thus, any species of dog could theoretically be a pit bull from a chihuahua to a mastiff! Thus comes the answer. The answer is saying what we just said and what the premise said- a pit bull is called a pit bull because that's there job, not because that's their breed of dog!

I hope that helped, if you have further questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks,

Jordan
