Understanding hard passages

This question was hard for me because of how philosophical the text was. Any tips on how to understand difficult passages such as these to help with choosing a correct answer choice?

yeah even with the answer, i still do not understand how they rephrased that. I mean, i identified that the main point would be after "it is clear that"..... but the way the rephrased the answer.... is as convoluted as the sentences in the passage were.

I agree. The answer choices were very confusing. How can we make it that the answer choice will always be clear.

I don't think there's any silver bullet here. The test will often phrase answer choices in weird and convoluted ways. Your job is to read them as carefully as you need to understand what they mean. On abstract and philosophical passages like this, you would also benefit from trying abstract parts of the the answer choice back to concrete parts of the passage.
