Rule #2: Must have S condition in Common

In the "Quantifiers Video" when rule #2 is introduced the notes reflect that the S is common when positioned as follows: P: A-some-B P: B --> C However the first example after the notes we are given the following problem is positioned as follows: P: W-some-U P: W--> V The video says that this setup follows the second rule and they share the sufficient condition in common. How is that so if it is positioned differently?
