How is the correct answer the Owens must live next to the Newmans if the Rutan's cannot live in the first house on the left or right? Additionally, to the east since the Newmans are directly West - the Muirs must live directly to the east of K family... (statement K&M > P & L)

Hi Cameron, So when we know that N is immediately before K, we have NK, and MK must be touching so then we have NKM. Then we have NKM - P - L based on rule 4. Since K has to be in 4, we get _ _ N K M P L and R cannot go first so we get O R N K M P L Here, N cannot be next to O. Hope this helps!
