Except Questions
I also confused the answer choice of D rather than A. In the explanation, I see most responses are to basically use the process of elimination. In terms of except questions, should our first instinct be the process of elimination? Or only for questions we are unsure of?

Hi @Rita, Yes, we'll use the process of elimination for this one. The question is asking us all of the following may be true about working parents EXCEPT. This means four of the answer options will be supported in the text and one will not be. So we want to find the one that isn't supported!
A) They mention professional positions but don't mention working parents having to choose nonprofessional positions with less conventional work schedules. This makes A our correct answer! B) This is mentioned in lines 25-35. C) This is mentioned in L44 D) This one is tricky. However, check out lines 50-59. It tells us that mothers may need to lose career opportunities and gives the example of women in education being limited to certain kinds of jobs and female lawyers being more likely to work in trust and estates to control their schedule rather than litigation. E) Supported lines 16-20.
