Hi @maggiem3333, in this scenario, we are trying to have L's two aisles as far apart from each other as possible. Since we know that she cannot occupy both ends, the best way to do this would be to have her take one end, and the spot next to the end on the other side. So, either 1 and 8 or 2 and 9. Since we know that K must be in 2, we will have to put L in 1 and 8. That means we have LK_____L_ so far. From rule 5 we have an MKM block that must be between our two Ls, and from rule 7 we know that O must be after that block but before our second L. That means that the only thing that could go in 9 is one of our two Js. Out understanding of the game so far is LK_____LJ, with our MKM block before O, and a J who can go anywhere in the five remaining spots.
From this understanding, we know that B is wrong since manny cannot be in 7, and since J is 9 it is impossible that she is only in even numbers or both of her aisles are lower than O. E is wrong since we know that both J and L must come after O.

Hi Maggie,Let's work through our inferences on this one. So if we're trying to put L as far apart as possible, our first thought would be 1 and 9, but we can't do that because L can't go on both ends. So lets move L closer together by one spot. We can't do 2-9 because K is in 2, but we can do L in 1 and L in 8. SO now we have
L K _ _ _ _ _ L _
We have to have a MKM block per the rules, so that's going to go in the middle spaces. What could go in spot 9? We've already used our Ks, Ls, and Ms, and O couldn't go last because it has to be before at least one L. So last has to be J and we get
L K _ _ _ _ _ L J
In the middle we have MKM, which has to come before O since both Ks come before O, so we get
(MKM) - O, somewhere in the middle, and J is free to go wherever in the open block. So could J go 6th? Sure, with
L K M K M J O L J
As for eliminating C and E, Both of J's can't be lower than O because one J has to be in spot 9, and there have to be at least two clerks higher than O because the latest O can go is 7th.
Hope this helps!
