“Specific Claim”
Does this term refer to one claim or can it refer to multiple claims? I approached the answer as in only one of the claims were being disputed and therefore crossed it out. Thank you @lsatmax

I'd say "a specific claim" refers to one claim but "specific claims" is multiple. Note that for C here when Alicia makers her argument, the first sentence is the conclusion, the second is rejecting the criterion (i.e. saying grasping social issues isn't the criterion for being a great writer), and the third sentence is disagreeing with a specific claim (that Franchot was not even the first to understand the social consequences of industrialization in any case).
