Is Diagramming possible

Hi, is diagramming this question stem possible or no ? I chose the correct answer and I see how D is supported, but it's mainly because of the statement "doing good deeds benefits one's immune system" which to me D sort of restates if we consider 'one's immune system' as 'self interest', "good deeds" = magnanimity, "beneficial" = benefits. Just wondering if there's some type of other logic to use to tackle this question.

I think this could be diagrammed! I'd diagram this as:

Good Deeds --> More White Blood Cells --> Better at Fighting Infection

But it's not necessary if you can see the connection between magnanimity/good deeds and health benefits without diagramming, as you clearly do.

With that line of logic, better at fighting infection is sufficient to benefiting one's interests. The Caption never mentions anything about one's interest. That's what confuses me.

That's a good question, and this is the role of common sense. While it's never stated in the argument, we can safely assume that things that benefit my immune system are in my interest, since in this case there don't seem to be any conceivable downsides to having a better immune system, or to being a mensch.
