In this case, we can rely on the sufficient and necessary condition indicator words. Recall:

The only: Sufficient condition indicator
Only: Necessary condition indicator

The stimulus says “only those flowers that smell sweet are worth growing in a garden”.

Since the word “only” comes before “the flowers that smell sweet”, we know that “flowers that smell sweet” is the necessary condition. That leaves "flowers worth growing in a garden" as the sufficient condition.

WG ? SS

I always remember it like this:

Only always introduces the necessary condition:

Only
Only When
Only Where
etc.

Unless it says “the only”. "The only" introduces the sufficient condition.

In other words, “the only” is… THE ONLY exception.

Hope this helps!
