Ok so for this question remember it is not asking how many students must share a locker, but rather asking which particular students must share a locker. You're correct that in any possible game we are going to end up with four students sharing a locker. However, only three of the ones sharing a locker will be determined. We know N and T will have to share lockers and that they will have to share lockers with one of the boys (F, J, M, or P). We also know that J has to share a locker based on the rules. So J, N, and T MUST share lockers. However, the fourth variable to share a locker could be F, M, or P. Therefore, only J, N, and T MUST share lockers because the fourth variable to share could rotate between F/M/P. That's why the correct answer only has 3 variables listed. Hope this helps!
