M and P relationship

How could D be the correct answer when it has already been established that M and P must be together? M is prevalent but P is not in this answer choice. Wouldn't this mean that this couldn't be true?

Hi RachP,

Hypotheticals are indeed a valid way to get to the right answer, although there might be another way that would be faster and less prone to spending a lot of time on hypotheticals.

Since we know that G is three days before S, and S is before U, There must be at least 4 days after G- so G can only go in days 1 or 2. Lets try testing out G in 1 below

G _ _ _ _ _

We know that S is three days after G, and that if J is not 1 J is 3, so we would now have

G _ JS_ _ with U in one of the final two. Since there is not open block of two for H and T to be next to each other, this scenario is impossible, and so G must go in 2.
