Is that something that can truly happen on the LSAT or was this your method of shortening the answer?

Hi Futureesquire,

This is not something you will see on the actual test. This is a shorthand that you might find helpful in diagraming- but would never appear in an actual question on the actual LSAT.

what does BDG, L and S stand for?

Hi Grace,

BGD stands for bark a great deal, L is Labrador, and S comes out of nowhere in E, since there is no S in the original statement we can eliminate answer choice e.

Is it standard to use unstandardized abbreviations?

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean by unstandardized abbreviations, but the abbreviations you see here are intended to mimic how you would diagram a statement you see. The test itself will never use abbreviations (with the possible exceptions of extremely common ones like USA, IT, or EU) but if you want to use them in your diagram, you should abbreviate in the way that feels best for you. For example, I probably would diagram the statement as L - B rather than L - BGD
