For this question, we did not need the contrapositives. When can we recognize that we will be using the transitive property to answer a question quickly?

I think it's a good idea to get in the habit of always taking the contrapositive of a conditional statement, regardless of if you expect to use it. There is no easy way to know if you will or will not need to use a contrapositive, and while you are studying it's probably best to always figure out the contrapositive. IT might sound time-consuming, but as you practice more and more it will become a pretty quick task.
