Please tell me what was wrong with my reasoning here

I did not choose the correct answer because I felt that Dr. Anders' statement: "Doctors now know the warning signs they need to listen for with stethoscopes, but only because of what was learned from using electronic monitors," implied that the other system was more informative than the stethoscope. Why is that reasoning incorrect? Is it simply because that implication is not necessarily true?

Hi Meghelle,

We are actually told that the two systems are equally useful in making sure a baby is born healthy, which might imply that they are equally informative. Regardless of that, just because we learned what signs to listen for from the monitors does not necessarily mean they are more informative. Perhaps they just have better data processing capabilities, but do not actually collect the data any better.
