Hi RachP,

This is a particularly wordy and tricky question stem. We can break it down into two parts- the first half is asking us what principle would justify Jamie's response to arnold. This tells us that we are dealing with a principle question type, and in particular a principle strengthen question.

The second half is a somewhat uncommon tactic the LSAT uses, where it gives you the first half of the answer choices, and each answer choice would follow on from the question stem. That is, the correct answer choice would complete the second half of the stem to form a principle that will strengthen Jamie's argument.

I am confused as to why this isn't categorized as a strengthen with sufficient premise question, as "if established" suggests sufficient no?

Hi MayaM,

"If established" is just telling us to assume that the principles are correct. This is the same as saying "if true"
