Question about notations

What does B-some-D or C-most-L mean? I took logic and know those symbols, but I am confused as to what this implies. Thanks

Hi Samuel,

This is just how the course notates quantifiers. In your diagrams (if you choose to diagram quantifiers) you should do what makes sense to you.

A- Some- B means that some As are B, and the same goes for mosts. This notation only shows up in the flashcards/daily drills, and frankly I find it confusing.

To me when I see the statement "Most books are good" This notation style seems arbitrary as to whether we should diagram it as

B -most- G
or
G - Most- B.

For your diagrams, you may want to avoid this althoather and just write out that most books are good.

Thanks for the help. I was trying to remember the Venn diagrams from logic and figuring out how to apply that strat was just confusing me. I appreciate the help.
