why cant K replace H

Why does the planting committee have to be P: FHLM and not P:FGLM if it was set up as P:FGLM T:GHJ then couldn't K replace H?

Hi Gretta,

For this question we are working with a scenario in which we have
P: FHLM
T: GHJ

We are asked which of the members in the above scenario we would be allowed to replace with K.

If we try to replace H with K in the parks committee, we violate rule one, which disallows F and K serving on the same committee. If we replace H with K on the Trails committee, we violate the final rule that the committees have one member in common.

However, If K replaces G we have the following valid scenario

P: FHLM
T: KHJ
