Why is A wrong?

I'm wondering why A is wrong... is it just too broad to be the author's main point?

Hi MasonDees,

While this is analogous to a main point question, the stem is actually asking us for a high level description of the content, rather than for what the author was trying to tell us. That said, I think your reasoning for A being incorrect is broadly right. This is a passage about how legal reasons are used in US and English common law, rather than a more general comparison of the two.

Additionally - and Emil please correct me if I am wrong - I thought about it as the passage only starts off the passage with saying "Although the legal systems of England and the United States are superficially similar" and then only talks about the differences for the duration of the passage so by that logic the passage is not an analysis of the SIMILARITIES and differences because the passage only really focuses on the differences. Please let me know if my reasoning is correct.

Yeah, I I think that's a good point. I'm not sure if that's enough in its own to fully knock out A, but it would really be a stretch to call it an analysis of both when it's pretty clearly primarily focused on contrasting the differences.
