Never mind! I see now that they do not have to be directly linked. However, would it suffice to say that they DO have to be linked in a linear, horizontal fashion in order for them to have a relationship? For example:
O - Q
/
L - M - N
\
P
Could one say that L and Q have a relationship?

Hi Balde,We could say that L and Q have a relationship, that L must be before Q (and we know that it must be at least two spaces before Q, since O must be in between them). However, we cannot say that Q and N, or N and P have a relationship.
