How is this not C?

That's exactly what's happening in my opinion. Just because she didn't hit potholes in the past, doesn't mean she's mistaken. She may have hit a pothole.

Hi Tyler,

How would this relate to some third event? I think we are talking about two events here, the pothole causing the trunk to pop open. In C, we are talking about a third event, also caused by the pothole. Was there anything in the argument that was a different event also caused by the pothole?
