Question # 4 - Maximum Number of Students Before Lee

I got this question right. However, I was wondering about strategy here. Could you use a hypothetical from the previous question on #3 to save time? The hypothetical I drew out for placing "H" third is why I chose Answer Choice "C" here. The Hypothetical here came out to: M J H L K F Is this the right way to approach the question?

Hi JosephRocco,

While your strategy happened to work in this case, I think in general there might be a more guaranteed way to find the right answer. The question is asking us what is the maximUm number of students that could go before L, so, we need to find the latest position that L could possibly be.

We know that L must be before both K and F, so L cannot go 6th or 5th. Therefore, the latest possible place L could go is 4th
