Hi, for a universal must be true without many great deductions, we should look for answer choices that if they were not true would break a rule. C does exactly that. If we have five tams, hen our final rule tells us that 1 must be a P, so it's not possible to have five Ta

Hi, I still don't understand this deduction

Hi, for this question I likely would have used a process of elimination, going through each answer choice and seeing if it had to be true, or, if it were possible for it to be false. Let's look at C to see if it could be false.

For C to be false, we would have to have five tams, however, this violates our final rule. If we have all tams, then 3 and 4 are both tams, so the first spot must be a P, which makes it impossible to have all five tams. Since it is impossible for C to be false, it must be true.
