Why not C?

If workers emphasize experiences that happened most recently on surveys, and it's possible a majority of workers were bored recently, why couldn't this weaken the argument? If stress is the most serious problem workers face, couldn't this phenomenon explain why workers pick something that isn't their most serious problem to mention in the survey? Thanks.

It doesnt weaken because we would have to assume that boredom was something they experienced most recently. While C could be used to weaken if we bring in other information and assumptions, it doesnt weaken on its own, while D does.
