This question is reminiscent of an infamous LR question where in two non-compatible conditionals where still able to create a "some" conclusion.
This reminds me of the infamous lawyers, athletes, and bankers question wherein you can conclude that at the party there were some athletes who were not lawyers or something like that. In that question, if I remember correctly, there were two conditionals that did not chain together but the correct answer was a some statement. Which is why I chose A.
