When do I use the transitive property?

I noticed in a response to someone's question, there was the mentioning of the transitive property. I know how the answer was gotten; however, how do I determine when to use the transitive property and when not to? Are there any keywords? Or is it based on if the passage if facts or an argument? Thank you in advance.

Hi, no keywords. I would simply try to use it when you can. If you ever have the same idea or variable ( in games) that appears more than once, it's good good idea to try to link those statements together. You will not always be able to, but it is indeed worth the effort
