Why C and not E?
C mentions "large" animals which are not mentioned. The given explanation for E talks about how it is too extreme, but the stimulus covers significant ground with the animals it lists. Would it be possible to get a more thorough explanation than was offered in the given explanation for C?

Hi, the passage is only about fish and seabirds, not all animals. This is talking about the marine food chain, and does not extend to all animals. C doesn't talk about large animals, but about ones larger than plankton, such as seabirds and fish, which is what the argument is about.
