i am sort of lost on this one

I am confused in trying to relate the question assumptions to the text. To me, the stimulus is saying that in general, large dogs are better if you are an apartment dweller because large dogs need less excercise.

Hi, the passage is indeed saying this, because large dogs need less intense exercise, people with less time should find a large dog less troublesome.

We are then asked essentially what must be true. A necessary assumption question is a must be true in disguise, we need to find something that the author must believe if their argument is to hold.

B does exactly this. The author has to believe that less intensive exercise takes less time than more intensive exercise, because why else would they have suggested getting a dog that requires less intensive exercise for people with less time!
