If M is faster than J, then the fastest ranking J could have is

What can’t the highest rating be 6?
Why can’t the highest rating be 6th? None of the rules are violated when I put J 6th. I was able to put M in 3rd and H in 4th with one space between H and J per the rules.

Hi, the question is asking us what the fastest rating we could put J in, and in this case fastest is the first position. We are actually trying to put J as far to the left as possible, not to the right! It's so easy to make this mistake, and I'm a fan or writing in my diagram in big lettering "FASTER" or "SLOWER" on the appropriate side of the diagram.
