Isn't that what we're coached not to do?

"Just because one is proven to improve safety does not mean that the other would not improve safety, as well." This is what we're usually coached not to do, right? Just because one is doesn't mean the other is... I could find questions to validate if that helped. I do NOT mean to criticize or condemn any instructor especially one that's provided me with so many helpful explanations(conclusions) on the message board. It seems like there's such a fine line on many of the questions and the methods to get to the right answer(s) don't always blend.

Hi, I'm not sure that I understand the issue here. This is a pretty common flaw that we see, that the author wrongly assumes that since one thing works, a second thing would not work- or that since X is best, Y won't work at all. That's why A is correct, the author assumes that since the best way is better training, that better equipment will not improve the situation at all.

If by coached not to do you mean "told this is a flaw" then yes, I see what you're saying, but otherwise I'm not quite sure what you mean.

On another note, please please DO criticize! It's impossible to improve without criticism, and I think all of the instructors want to continue to get better as well. Just like it's impossible to improve without making and reviewing mistakes, it's hard to get better as an instructor without knowing where were unclear!
