What is the minimum number of doctors that could be at Souderton?

Help please..

Is there a way to approach this where you don't start placing letters creating a scenario where 3 or 4 is possible? Because I got this question wrong because I started placing letters that got me 3 possibilities in s. How would we know 3 isn't the minimum and that a 2 scenario is possible as well? We don't have time to diagram all options. Thank you.

For minimum questions, I would start at the lowest extreme and then work my way up: so here I would start at zero and try to eliminate that. Note that you should do the opposite for maximum questions. Here I would actually think about what the max we could fit in R would be: and for that I would look to he rules. The final rule proves that there must be at least one not at R, so I don't need to think about A, and the first two rules show that at least one of JOK must be at S, and thus not at R. So, right off the bat we can eliminate the first two options. Then I would test out the lowest option that we haven't eliminated: the 2:5 distribution.
