Why is answer choice A not the correct choice?

When I broke down the main paragraph, this is what I came up with: F + not E -> B F + W -> not B Choice A: W and not P -> M W + P -> not M Choice B: not E + S -> P not E and not S -> not PI Why is choice B the correct choice?

Both b and the passage set up two necessary conditions in their first statement. The passage is actually

If B then F and Not E.

B is if P then not E and S.

However, A is if w and not p then M.

Remember that only if gives us necessary conditions, and if gives us sufficient conditions.
