The Answer here could easily be A (Atleast one female reptile is alone in a habitat) just as much as it is C (Atleast one female lizard is alone in habitat)
A female lizard is in fact a reptile. Obviously there cant be 1 female snake alone here, that would violate the rules but it didnt say 1 female snake it said reptile. Yes one just happens to be more detailed and specific than the other but reptile is still lizard. Someone ought to contact LSAT and explain to them this.

A and C are referring to different things. All of the animals in questions are reptiles. A is talking about the 5 females, regardless of whether they are snakes or lizards. C is just talking about the three lizards.
Since we know that there are three lizards, and no lizard can be with a snake, we know that at least one of the lizards must be alone, since it's impossible for all three lizards to be together.
