Question 7 from Video Lesson - popular among faculty/students

The instructor diagrammed it as not PF --> M but I had diagrammed it as UPF (unpopular among faculty) --> M. It has the same meaning but in your example, you negate PF whereas UPF (in my diagram) exists at the same time as M. Are both ways correct? Is the instructor's way better than mine? If so, why?

They mean the same thing, and there really isn't a better way. I personally prefer to frame thing in the positive sense (that is, Popular or Not Popular) rather than in the negative (unpopular or not unpopular), just to avoid double negatives when possible. But this is only personal preference, so no there isn't a better way. Do the method that makes the most sense to you!
