For this question, it combines a quantifier, and an "Either/Or". For a broader picture, how should we approach these situations?

I wouldn't let the formal elements stress you out. This question, like most (but sadly not all) is describing a real world scenario.

I would try to imagine the scenario. Cacti can't live outside of the desert. Oranges can't live in the cold.

If you tell me that state X is either a good place for oranges or cacti, I know that this place must be either warm, or a desert.

I find just imagining the setup can be a really helpful supplement to diagraming!
