Passage A discusses that all wildlife is effected by the spread of these flowers and passage B specifies the Canvasback. Can we not infer from passage A that the author would believe that the Canvasback is also threatened by the flower?

From A alone, we can't even conclude that the canvasback exists, let alone that it is threatened by the loosestrife. The question asks what we can independently conclude from each passage, and passage A says nothing about the canvasback.
