Why J's conclusion is conditional?

Hi LSAT MAX, This question really got me! Even though I figured out how to get to the correct answer, I'm still not sure how you would diagram the Stimulus especially J's conclusion. One of the explanation said J's conclusion is "A will be late without the overbooking -> Flight company not morally obligated to pay" But there's nowhere in the stimulus indicates it's a conditional relationship. Thank you in advance!

I personally wouldn't bother diagraming js statement. We know that J is saying that since he would have missed the meeting anyways he is not entitled to compensation. We could infer a general principle for what J is saying (that if one would not suffer damage then one is not entitled to compensation) which would be conditional, but I think it's easier to just focus on what he must believe, and then use this to determine what they must disagree on.
