what makes b wrong

So I did choose e on this one, but I had a hard time eliminating b. Would it be the "equal" in the answer choice that makes it wrong? Trying to figure out how to not get stuck on questions that look so close to being right and what I should be looking for to quickly eliminate.

ok looking at it again I'm also not like the second part to it "family roles have to be examined and revised"
